December 7, 2011 - Vasyl Myroshnychenko has made opening remarks at the 6th annual reception of the Ukrainian-British City Club in London
As a member of the board of the Ukrainian-British City Club, CFC’s Partner Vasyl Myroshnychenko has made opening remarks at the 6th annual reception of the organization held at the Houses of Parliament in London. In his brief speech, Vasyl has stressed the importance of diaspora in building the relations between the home and host country. UBCC was set up by the active Ukrainian professionals in the City of London, and has since that time attracted many British companies and individuals as well as people of other nationalities living in London, who have interest in Ukraine. Ukrainian diaspora has a tremendous potential in promoting Ukraine’s commercial and cultural interests in the UK.
The reception was hosted by John Wittingdale, MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Ukraine Group. UBCC was set up to foster the development of bilateral UK-Ukraine relations.

Inside Ukraine 2011—an event for foreign investors and influential thinkers at the Dorchester—had in attendance a Vice-prime Minister of Ukraine, an ex-Canadian Prime Minister and over 150 senior business executives,
influential thinkers and major media journalists in London. The debate focused on the future of doing business in Ukraine; asked the difficult questions and also looked at the new opportunities in sectors such as energy, agribusiness, logistics and tourism. Attendees had a unique opportunity to evaluate the political and economic risks associated with doing business in the region and gained from frank viewpoints from our high-profile speakers—policymakers, leading businessmen and key players in the business community.
November 10, 2011 - CFC Consulting signed a contract on providing PR services to the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC)
At the beginning of November CFC Consulting signed a contract with the state-owned Irish bank IBRC for the provision of PR support for the situation which occurred with the public company Univermag Ukraine. The lodging of multiple lawsuits against the Univermag and its majority shareholder the Quinn Holdings Sweden AB (QHS) in the Kyiv City Commercial Court resulted in the threat of an illegitimate seizure of this asset. According to the terms of the contract CFC Consulting is responsible for the coverage of the protection of the rights and lawful interests of the IBRC in the Ukrainian mass media.
November 2, 2011 - CFC Consulting presented Mupotoon project at one of the biggest global film markets – The American Film Market
The Managing Partner of CFC Consulting Gennadiy Kurochka together with the company’s Partner Vasyl Myroshnychenko and the Creative Director Yuriy Sak attended one of the largest global film markets The American Film Market, where they presented the Mupotoon (Music. Politics. Cartoons) project. The representatives of the CFC Consulting held more than 50 meetings with the world famous production and distribution companies in order to promote the Mupotoon project on global TV networks. American Film Market is held annually in Santa Monica, USA and is considered to be one of the largest global film markets regarding the number of signed contracts on purchasing, distributing and replication of the films.
October 6, 2011 - CFC Consulting and Ukraine Economic Reform Fund held a press conference dedicated to the executive training program for Ukrainian government officials in Harvard
The press conference was held on October 6 in the Interfax-Ukraine information agency. The guests included the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Iryna Akimova; the President of the Ukraine Economic Reform Fund, Lyubov Rudyuk and three participants of the Harvard program. A week-long training for the Ukrainian government officials took place at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University during September 18-24.
The Harvard Program brought to a successful conclusion the first phase of the Ukraine’s Presidential Cadre Reserve Program.
September 30, 2011 - Vasyl Myroshnychenko and Kostyantyn Gridin attended the FTI Consulting 4th International Network Summit in London
On September 30, affiliates from more than 30 countries met at the FTI Consulting 4th International Network Summit in London. July 15, 2011 - Clickticket LLC participates in Ticket Summit, Las Vegas
On July 13-15 a conference Ticket Summit was held in Las Vegas. The Summit was attended by partners at Clickticket LLC, a CFC`s subsidiary project- https://www.clickticket.com/ - Gennadiy Kurochka, Oleksiy Syvak and Vasyl Myroshnychenko.
The conference was organized by TicketNetwork, with which Clickticket LLC had signed a partnership agreement. During the visit Clickticket LLC and TicketNetwork had negotiations on further cooperation, including the opening of Clickticket office in the US.
June 16, 2011 - Vasyl Myroshnychenko presents Ukraine's branding strategy at the European Business Association
On June 16 2011, the PR Committee of the European Business Association had a special meeting dedicated to Ukraine's image abroad. Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Partner at CFC Consulting, was the guest speaker at this meeting. CFC Consulting was commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in late 2010 to design a long-term strategy for Ukraine's international promotion. In the presentation "Ukraine 2022. How we want the world to see us?" Vasyl and his colleagues elaborated on the strategy which was presented to the public in March. The presentation sparked a lively discussion among the Ukrainian PR professionals who attended the event.
May 14, 2011 - Mika Newton finishes fourth in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011
The Ukrainian participant of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Duesseldorf Mika Newton finishes fourth, after Azerbaijan, Italy and Sweden taking the first, second and third places respectively. Though some ESC experts had predicted Ukraine’s high rankings in the final, to many of Ukrainian ESC fans this result came unexpected. After the second rehearsal Mika Newton advanced significantly in the ranking – from last positions she progressed to one of the favourites. May 12, 2011 - Mika Newton advances to the Eurovision’s Final
Ukrainian singer Mika Newton has progressed to the Final after the Second Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Mika was qualified for the Final along with 9 other countries. final press-conference in the series of events Energy Efficiency Season in Ukraine
At the press-conference CFC Consulting, the USAID Municipal Heating Reform Project (MHR), Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and Ukrainian show business celebrities summarized the results of their joint three-month Energy Efficiency Season project. The objective of the Energy Efficiency Season was to promote a social responsibility of Ukraine’s young generation with respect to the
energy resources and their use. It also aimed at attracting attention to the issue of Ukraine’s energy dependence.

CFC Consulting organized the festival of Slovenian Films in Ukraine
The festival of Slovenian Films in Ukraine took place on 25-27 June 2010 and was dedicated to the National Day of Slovenia and the 105th Anniversary of the Slovenian Film Industry.
The event was attended by the members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovenian and Ukrainian companies. The festival was initiated by Ms. Mayya Martynenko, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Kiev, Ukraine and became a result of close cooperation between Honorary Consulate’s team and that of the Slovenian Embassy.
CFC Consulting conducted the advertising campaign of the festival, which included street city-lights, radio spots and numerous posters at the major Ukrainian Universities in Kiev, and ensured festival’s coverage by Kommersant newspaper.
Among the sponsors of the festival were the Ukrainian company TAS Group, Inter-Europa LLC (Slovenia), Poker-Sens (Slovenia) and Romankivska Usadba (Ukraine).

June 1, 2010 - CFC Consulting implementes ALyosha’s EcoVision 2010 program
Yesterday CFC Consulting experts came back from Oslo, Norway, where they had made part of the Ukrainian delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest. This year Ukraine was represented by the singer ALyosha with her entry song Sweet People.
CFC’s team headed by the Managing Partner Gennadiy Kurochka developed and implemented ALyosha’s EcoVision 2010 program dedicated to the environmental protection. The program reflected and presented the idea of the entry song written by ALyosha.
EcoVision 2010 program received its higher approval from Greenpeace International: “Please pass our many thanks to ALyosha for using this special moment in her life for the environmental cause. Many generations to come will be also thankful for this.”

In April 2010 CFC Consulting was hired by the Ukrainian designer and artist Zinaida Likhacheva to back up her SUNLIGHT Collection with targeted communications program at Oxford Fashion Week and Lviv Fashion Week, both held in May of this year.
Zinaida Likhacheva is an artist, designer and the originator of this Collection’s concept. April 16, 2010 - CFC Entertainment will advise Alyosha, Ukrainian entry at Eurovision 2010
CFC Entertainment is an offshoot of the CFC Consulting providing PR and marketing services in the show-business and entertainment industry. CFC team has proposed to dedicate Alyosha’s song to the issue of the people’s negative impact on the environment.
As part of the preparation program to the ESC CFC Consulting will develop and promote the image of Alyosha as an ardent advocate for solving the environmental problems. The video for Sweet People song will be shot directly in Chernobyl, a place of the nuclear power explosion in April of 1986. The music video
will contain footage of the environmental disasters such as: deforestation, smoking pipe factories, the loss of the Earth's bioderversity, etc. The video will show the contrast between the realities of the Third World and the attitude of the world's leading countries toward global problems.
March 15, 2010 - Kostyantyn Gridin completes his second business trip to Arab Gulf
CFC Consulting Partner Kostyantyn Gridin completed his second business trip to Arab Gulf where he visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE. The trip aimed to explore interest and follow up on previous arrangements with the circle of potential investors for certain investment projects in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
During his 2-week journey, Mr. Gridin accompanied one of the company’s clients to as many as 20 meetings with local investors. Since 2003 CFC Consulting has been cultivating relationships with the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and believes that there is great potential to attract investments to Ukrainian and Eastern European companies.
March 12, 2010 - Vasyl Myroshnychenko speaks at the EBA meeting in Lviv
On March 11, CFC Consulting Partner Vasyl Myroshnychenko was invited to be a guest speaker at a meeting of the European Business Association (EBA), held at the EBA’s L’viv facility. Committee participants discussed the topic, “The PR aspects of corporate disputes.” During the meeting, Mr. Myroshnychenko spoke about the concept of conflict, the possible conditions of crisis, conflict communication functions, and how to prevent crises through PR. Two key questions were raised:
- What is the role of PR in corporate conflicts?
- Corporate conflict resolution: CFC’s experience
Mr. Myroshnychenko separately focused on the concepts of “image” and “reputation,” stressing that image is a snapshot, while reputation is the album that is filled over the course of time.
February 8, 2010 - Vasyl Myroshnychenko organizes an informal gathering of the UBCC members
On behalf of the Ukrainian-British City Club, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, one of CFC Consulting’s partners, organized an informal gathering of UBCC members and friends during the visit of British MP John Grogan to Kyiv. The meeting took place on Sunday, 07 Feb 2010. John Grogan has been a Member of Parliament for Selby, North Yorkshire, since May 1997, when he was elected as the first-ever Labor MP to represent the seat. Mr. Grogan is a Deputy Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Ukraine Group. Also, he chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Beer, Mongolia and the BBC and co-chairs the Parliamentary Labor Party Health and Social Services Committee. The main purpose of this get-together was to exchange the experience of relations between Great Britain and Ukraine, to talk about the political and economic situation in Ukraine, and to deepen relations.
December 30, 2009 - CFC Partners return from their business trip to Arab Gulf
CFC Consulting's Partners Kostyantyn Gridin and Vasyl Myroshnychenko completed their business trip to four countries of Arab Gulf: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE. The goal of the trip was to identify potential partners for selected investment projects in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
During the 2-week long journey Mr. Gridin and Mr. Myroshnychenko conducted over 40 meetings with the local investors and advisories.As the main observation from the trip, The Ukrainian agri-sector currently represents the highest interest for the Arab investors. At the same time, a generally low level of awareness of the Ukraine's investment climate has been noticed.
The political instability remains the key factor preventing the capital from Arab countries to flow into Ukraine.
CFC Consulting plans to undertake another business trip to the region in early March in order to explore the existing interest and follow up on the previous arrangements with potential investors.
December 10, 2009 - Mupotoon LLC presented its animated film “Barack Obama – Superstar: A History of the Nobel Prize”
On December 9, Mupotoon LLC, a subdivision of CFC Consulting, presented its animated film, “Barack Obama – Superstar: A History of the Nobel Prize.” This animation is a parody on the decision by the Nobel Committee to award the Peace Prize for 2009. As it happened, this decision not only stunned many observers from around the world, but also took the recipient, US President Barack Obama, by complete surprise. “Barack Obama – Superstar: A History of the Nobel Prize” was developed by the Mupotoon LLC animation company in partnership with leading Hollywood producers Ostrow and Company. November 8, 2009 - Oleksiy Syvak accompanies Vasyl Vovkun in his visit to the World Travel Market (WTM)
In its capacity of the exclusive representative of CNN International in Ukraine, CFC Consulting organized the visit of Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Vasyl Vovkun, to London. The Minister, together with CFC Consulting Senior Advisor Oleksiy Syvak, attended the global tourism exhibition World Travel Market (WTM). This show offers a unique opportunity to meet and interact with representatives of the travel industry from around the world and to receive the latest news in the tourism business. WTM saw attendees representing tourism in other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, among which Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Albania, Moldova and Romania.
September 25, 2009 - Representatives of FD in Central and Eastern Europe meet in Prague
On September 25, affiliated representatives of Financial Dynamics in Central and Eastern Europe met in Prague. Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Partner at CFC Consulting, attended this meeting as the only FD representative in Ukraine. This is not the first time FD’s affiliates have had such a meeting: last year, a similar event took place in London. The main purpose of these get-togethers is to exchange experience on the state of the market environment, deepen relations and develop common businesses.
August 15, 2009 - CFC Consulting launches the social project Zarobitchany
August 15 saw the official launch of a social project called “Zarobitchany” [Migrant Workers] that was the brain-child of CFC Consulting. This project’s purpose is to provide assistance to citizens of Ukraine who are working abroad. In addition, consultations and informational assistance are provided to citizens of Ukraine who have returned home after working abroad and need psychological, informational, legal and other support. CFC Consulting studied the immediate needs of migrant workers and established contact with organizations that deal with similar problems, with societies and associations of Ukrainians abroad, with local Ukrainian communities, and with parishioners from Ukrainian churches. The staff of “Zarobitchany” are prepared to share information and experience and to combine efforts and possibilities in resolving the problems of Ukrainian migrant workers and members of their families abroad.
July 5, 2009 - CFC Consulting ran a reputation audit
At the end of June and beginning of July, CFC Consulting ran a reputation audit of the market for Advent International. The main purpose of the audit was to analyze the national and specialized press that focuses on such topics as business and private investment. CFC Consulting ran an expert survey of journalists who specialize in business writing. As part of the assignment, an analytical guide was produced, containing in-depth information about each of Ukraine’s national papers that regularly write about business topics.
June 26, 2009 - Kostyantyn Gridin chaired a meeting of the EBA PR committee
On June 25, CFC Consulting partner Kostiantyn Gridin chaired a meeting of the European Business Association (EBA) PR committee based on the theme, “How can you establish a good reputation when you produce something bad for the health: The tobacco industry as a case study.” such as the tobacco industry?” The four questions raised during the meeting were:
- Whose interests should makers of tobacco products take into account first: smokers’ or society’s?
- What would makers of tobacco products like people to read about them in the press and how can they achieve this?
- How does the image of a tobacco company affect relations with government agencies and how can tobacco companies defend their interests in the face of regulators?
- Corporate reputation: international experience
The experts at this roundtable were Olena Tyshchenko-Tyshkovets, communications manager for British American Tobacco Ukraine, Kateryna Zasukha, communications manager for JT International Company Ukraine, and Oleksiy Kalashnikov, manager of relations with government and non-government organizations for Imperial Tobacco Ukraine.
